Tau o Mai project.
This was a paid live brief I was involved in set by the Fitzwilliam museum to create an immersive digital experience to accompany the “Portrait of Mai” that was currently on display. Alongside a team of other students we created this immersive experience that coincided with the painting for a limited amount of time. I worked on the digital development side of this project, helping to produce a functional and intuitive user journey that enhanced both the painting and the surrounding exhibition space for guests. We all took careful consideration to be culturally sensitive and abide by the museum curators wishes when producing this project and were met with mostly positive reactions from guests. They also found it easy to use as well, not meeting any problems with people struggling to navigate the program itself

This is a recording of the program in use, there is also the QR code and portrait below to try it out yourself. Simply aim your phone of tablet at the portrait with the program loaded up to use the experience.
